Where can I purchase Wentworth furniture?
Wentworth Furniture supplies many stores all over Australia. These include the major bedding retailers including Capt’n Snooze, Forty Winks, Bedshed, Rise + Shine, Domayne and Harvey Norman. We also supply many independent stores and retailers.
If there is a suite that you have seen on the website that you like, click on Stockists – this will reveal all Stockists of this particular suite.
What is the warranty with your furniture?
Wentworth supplies all furniture with a 5 year Manufacturer’s Warranty, which guarantees products against manufacturing faults. Please see the Care/Warranty information on our website.
Can I order your beds with a low foot (doona foot)?
Many of our beds are available with a low foot option. These are called a ‘doona foot’ as it allows the doona to fall down over the foot of the bed. The bed is supplied with the head, foot, side rails (and slats, if ordered with a slat base).
Not all beds have a doona foot option, so please see the product on our website to see confirm that a doona foot option is available.
Can I order a ‘Head Only’ to go with my mattress and base?
A head only is available for most of our beds. When you order a head only, instead of receiving a head, foot, side rails and slats, you will just receive the head. The head will have timber blocks attached for you to attach the brackets for the mattress base.
What slat systems are available?
Most of our beds are available to suit all of the following:
- A mattress and base
- A drop in Orthobase
- One piece pine slats.
Occasionally, due to the design of the bed, not all of these options are available. For confirmation on the bed that you have chosen, please refer to the details in the ‘More’ section of that product on our website.
Can I convert my bed from a mattress base to a slat bed?
Our new patented side rail system for our timber beds, enables you to use the same set of side rails when you change from mattress and base to a slat bed. You simply drop the silver ‘Z’ brackets into the holes in the side rails, and the Orthobase sits on those brackets. (You may need to order these from your Stockist if you ordered a bed to suit a mattress and base). For a timber one-piece pine slat bed, you will also need a cleat. These can be ordered through your local Stockist.
If you would like to change from a slat bed to a mattress and base, simply take off the slats and remove the ‘Z’ brackets from the side rails.
If you have an Upholstered bed (Gelato or Brooklyn), you can remove the cleats to enable the mattress and base to drop in.
If you have an older style bed and wish to convert it, please contact our office on 03 9408 3644 or info@wentworthfurniture.com.au for information on how to change over.
I purchased one of your suites several years ago and would like to order additional pieces for it. How can I order these?
Please check the Catalogue of products on our website, which includes all of our current product ranges. If you see the range, please visit one of the Stockists listed.
If you don’t see the product on our website, it has possibly been discontinued. If you know the name of your bedroom suite, or can send a photo, please email it through to info@wentworthfurniture.com.au and we can assist in locating a matching piece if available, or recommend something similar.
Depending on the range of furniture, we may have something similar that would suit.
Can I order furniture pieces to match later?
In most cases you can order additional pieces to go with your bedroom suite at a later date.
Some of our ranges, such as the Provence and Rustler are over ten years old, whereas other ranges have a shorter ‘life cycle’. There is a possibility that in future years your range is no longer available.
We do upgrade ranges from time to time, so it is possible that the additional pieces may change slightly from your original. These changes may be structural or aesthetic.
Similarly, as timber is a natural living product with unique grain structure and colour, you may notice the colour varies slightly from your original. While we may use the same stain, the timber itself may be a slightly different shade so we do recommend that if possible, you order your furniture from the same ‘batch’.
How should I care for my new furniture?
Please see the details under Care / Warranty for details on how to look after your furniture to ensure a beautiful long life.
Can I have different handles on a bedroom suite?
Wentworth products are manufactured using the latest in computerised machinery to ensure the highest quality products are supplied.
If you see handles on another Wentworth range of furniture which you would prefer on your bedroom suite, we are usually able to use these on your chosen suite. There is however, a small surcharge to cover the cost of administration of changes to computer programs or creating new jigs. This minimal charge covers our costs to make the necessary changes.
It would be necessary to check with production to ensure the requested handles are suitable for the suite that you like.
Can I supply my own handles?
Wentworth is happy to supply furniture with ‘no holes and no handles’ for a small surcharge which covers the cost of altering computer programs so that holes are not drilled into the furniture. This would allow you to attach the handles once you have received the furniture.
For warranty purposes, we are unable to attach the handles to our furniture for you.
Can you make a piece of furniture wider, or deeper, or smaller to fit into my space?
Due to the fully computerised machinery that we use, and the high number of components in each of our products, it is not possible to make these changes.
We offer a wide range of products within each range and hope that you can find something within the range to meet your needs. We always appreciate feedback however, and would be interested to know what you changes you would like. You can email us at info@wentworthfurniture.com.au.
Can I purchase stain from you?
We can supply our stain $20 per litre. We cannot guarantee any results if staining something yourself, as we have a well researched and developed method of staining, which takes place in a state of the art spray shop. Stain is available for pick up from our factory in Epping. Unfortunately, we cannot post stain, due to Australia Post restrictions.
What is your lead time?
Wentworth operates using the Just in Time production method, to ensure maximum efficiency. This means that we only make products to order, and your suite will be made especially for you.
We have a continually updated Production Schedule, where we plan to manufacture each range at regular intervals.
We aim to have all furniture despatched within 6 weeks of receiving each order. Depending on when your order is received in relation to our Production Schedule, your furniture should be despatched within 6 weeks. Often, it is much sooner. If you are in country Victoria or Interstate, you should allow additional time for transport.
If you are buying furniture for a gift or a special occasion, we suggest you keep our lead times in mind and order within this time frame.
